Re: I AM A MEME!!

Given my feelings on the US right now, this seems like the most appropriate day to say happy Independence Day if you celebrate. In addition to not being excited to celebrate our frustratingly preventable decline into full fascism, I plan to spend the day trying to convince my mother, who is chronica...

My favorite books are Cien Años de Soledad, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and Sticker Fun with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Re: What have you watched lately?

The Sheep Detectives.

Just, damn, that was a good movie. As far as live action movies about talking sheep go, it's only second to Babe because Babe is one of the most perfect films ever made.

Re: Superman

I liked Supergirl.

No spoilers except to say Momoa IS Lobo. And understated a bit, presumably to not throw off the tone of the film.

David Clayton-Thomas, of Blood Sweat & Tears, 84.

He was my.late father's favorite singer.

Cause of death still undisclosed; I only hope that he went naturally, went naturally.

Re: RIP Star Wars comics

Legacy of Vader was actually quite good. Soule is building upon everything he's done before, though, so they're starting to get a little continuity-heavy. There is a follow-up series planned for later this year.

It does contradict the otherwise "semi-canon" Lego Terrifying Tales.

I really want to read Savage Dragon, but I can't even tell for sure that they publish collections.

Re: RIP Star Wars comics

Guess this is as good a place as any.... I read the post-Jakku "ongoing" that lasted ten issues. Gawd, that was bad. Between this and Jakku, Segura should never write SW again. Tough to follow, with massive continuity farts all over the place (several times I had to backtrack, asking mysel...

Not sure why, but I've grown to fucking hate this holiday.

And not just because Bizarro The Grin still hasn't discovered lube.

So, are Absorbing Man and Titania not semi-reformed this week?

Re: Spider-Man 4 is dead; Reboot to follow.

Latest Brand New Day trailer... so, the "secret" villain appears to have powerful mind control powers, and is likely the figure with the hood. Sadie Sink is playing an unnamed character, heavily rumored to be a mutant with X-Men ties in the (real) 616. She is (obviously) a young redhead. O...

Daveigh Chase, 35, meningitis.

There were many other cast members--nearly all of them, in fact--that I realistically expected to shuffle this mortal coil before Lilo did.

Re: I dreamed about jjreason last night

I just woke up from a weird one. We were cleaning out a storage space where my mom had been storing literal trash, but stopped at a ratty grocery store nearby. While there, I was explaining how the Ewoks have a complex system of water pipes via plants, and all their water comes from Ewok burps. And ...

Okay, this was kinda fucking awesome.

I'm tired but will leave you with this: Morena Baccarin ages like a fine wine.
