Re: GIJoe
I'm glad Hama basically has full, unhampered control over the comic now. It's gotten pretty fricking weird at times when editors meddle. That said, if he had an editor now who would stand up to him, continuity might be tighter. Not saying it should be tighter, but some folks would prefer it that way...

Re: Damn, KPop is lame as fuck, don't believe what the Demon Hunters would have you believe
I should've posted this earlier. This was the better of the songs by Dreamcatcher I listened to. I'd say it's quite good--really feels like it could be the end credits to a new season of Demon Slayer or My Hero Academia (which, yes, I know are Japanese). Unfortunately, it does seem these truly inter...

First things first, KPDH is cool as hell and deserved that Oscar and the music isn't terrible, if not my cup of tea. I know KPop is about as fucking corporate and manufactured as music can possibly be. But so was Menudo, and Ricky Martin is legit talented (again, not my cup of tea, but he is good at...

Was coming here to post about him.
I absolutely loved his MCP run with Wolverine and (the one true) Ghost Rider.

Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
The trailer appears to show them interacting in at least two locations.
This is going to be like the film version of an overstuffed 90s crossover like Maximum Carnage, and I am here for it.

Re: Celebrity Death Pool!
When Chuck Norris made it to the Pearly Gates, St. Peter asked who he was. "I'm Chuck Norris, toughest ma-- WHAP!! " The "whap" was the sound of Bruce Lee kicking the everloving shit out of him. Then Kris Kristofferson strolled out, ignited a match on Chuck's cheek and lit his ci...

Re: Netflix Original Series
The search on this site is wonky, but I cannot find evidence that I mentioned Derry Girls.
One of the funniest goddamn shows I've ever watched.
Watch with subtitles on. The accents are thick, so thick you will miss some gags without them.

Re: Punisher/Hulk sequ...reboots
Honestly, simple as it seems, that bit with the Battle Van is one of the most perfect Marvel bits I've seen onscreen. Spider and Punisher, both clearly after the same guy. Punisher completely driven to eliminate him, willing to hurt Spidey to do so, but at the same time doesn't want to kill him and ...

After two decades of inane prattle, I'm pretty sure I know the immature homos of this site well enough to know today's Quote of the Day is unquestionable:

Re: Superman
John Stewart has been confirmed for Man of Tomorrow.
Fuck. Yes.
In my book, DC is Batman, Lobo, Ambush Bug, and the Green Lanterns. Then everyone else, including Superman. Poor dude is gonna get upstaged by a GL in his own movie twice.

Re: Dark Horse founder Mike Richardson out as Publisher
It's ironic and concerning that pretty much all of America is being bought up by a few zillionaires from a region that generally hates us and that made (and continue to make) their money from fossil fuels we supposedly want to phase out.

Master of Puppets is forty years old today. Forty. 4-0. It always boggles my mind on anniversaries like this to think of the equivalent time before the milestone. Like forty years ago was Master of Puppets. Forty years before Master of Puppets, almost to the day, on March 4, 1946, Frank Sinatra rele...

Re: Everything ends eventually.
This is an issue where the consumer didn't choose the new format, but the industry forced it on us because trades cost more. Most books never get released as "normal" paperbacks anymore, and even reprints of older books are usually in trade size, so there aren't really many books to sell. ...
