I just placed a massive order on hasbrotoyshop.com. With the AAA discount, I saved tax, shipping, and $2. Not bad.

The HISS Driver and Major Bludd were out of stock, and the HISS still isn't available, but I ordered all the other figures (minus Tiger Force Flint, since there's no point in having only one Tiger Force figure, and black Storm Shadow, which is a huge WTF figure). I also tacked on a big metal dinosaur; in case anyone gets mad at me for saying DOUBLE POST, GRIMLOCK! BLOW ME!

There have not been any new joes on the shelves here forever. Not even restocks of what we'd seen previously (wave 5 on CDN cards and 6 on US cards). I don't know what the hell's going on, but they're NOT getting these things to retail. I have no interest in the wave 7 figures, and it seems like I'll be lucky to see a Snake Eyes in winter parka by the end of the fucking year. What's the hold up, people?????

This line is definitely the worst distribution I've ever seen for a Hasbro line.

By the way....

Ain't they cute?

Those fucks at gijoeclub.com wouldn't allow hotlinking or even right-clicking (though they don't own the copyrights), so I deleted their fucking watermark.

I think that GIJoe officially has the coolest SDCC exclusives this year. Hopefully they're easier to get than Pimp Daddy Destro.

Jesus, I really don't know what to make of those. Neat I suppose. I just I just always felt there was something a little "less cute" about the Joe line - I think that's why so many of us shifted our focus from Star Wars to Joe way back when. They were meaner or something. Cooler. More dangerous.

I still get emails from a couple toy retail websites. One of them happened to have the new list of GI Joe comic packs. What caught my eye was Cobra Commander w/ Tripwire. Tripwire was one of the Joes I had, therefore I will allow myself to get it. I managed to find a picture.

Apparently there recently was a GI Joe convention and YoJoe has pics.

Naaaaaaaaahce!!

I especially like the sash, epaulets, and scabbard on the Cobra Commander, which make it a little less painful to have to get another hooded CC. It's kinda like the more formal look he had after issue #100 (only it should be in black... oh well... it's Hasbro; be glad they got it that close to right).

Looking at the other pics, not sure what's up with that funky black-helmeted Destro. Maybe it's supposed to be Alexander, Destro's illegitimate son who filled in briefly? Destro wore silver, and gold for a brief time, but never black.

Recolored Bludd and Snake Eyes are hopefully packed with a reprint comic rather than a new one. Assuming they are a comic pack, that is.

Quick Kick looks nice. Too bad he doesn't come with a SAW Viper gun and massive exit wounds. >:)

Classic Serpentor and Dusty are nice as well. It looks like those, the zombie guy, Cobra Commander, and Quick Kick might be packed with a DVD ("Arise, Serpentor, Arise," I'm guessing).

The pack with the Snow Serpent Commander sort of guy looks cool. Not sure about those "special forces" sets, but they're nice.

Wanna feel like shit the way you feel like shit with SW crap?

Go to yojoe.com's breakdown of Joe Con. There's a lot of big sets with one or two new pieces and a lot of rehash.

Worst is a $50 Ultimate Battle Pack which features a red HISS, a recolored Trouble Bubble, Stalker, some Cobra Troops, and Short Fuze and Steeler. In other words, you have to buy a fucking $50 set to get the remaining two "Original 13." At least the MOBAT should be in there as well, which will offset the price somewhat.

Also, you'll have to buy more of those HTF Toys R Us 3-packs to get Cutter and several other characters. Cutter looks like the Shipwreck from the comic pack with a new head. Hmmm, I had this crazy feeling that would happen.

I stopped by a TRU today on my way home. They had a bunch of those 3-packs of Cobra and Joe officers. They also had the Armadillo & Serpentor 2-pack and that dune buggy w/ Clutch.

Finally scored me the Crimson Guard Senior Command 3-pack today when looking for baby furniture. O yes. I couldn't give a fucking rat's ass about a red Cobra Commander, but the gold-tinted CG Officer was bitching, and I can always use more standard CG's.

I passed on Parka Snake Eyes today. The black paint was ALL OVER Kwinn's necklace like bubbles on JediElf...

Aww, man, that sucks. :( He's an awesome figure.

I'm thinking of getting a second, and taking one carded to Comic-Con. I'm hoping for a surprise appearance by a certain old Japanese fellow who creates badass ninjas and terrorists.

I would actually consider keeping a CDN one carded. They've created really nice generic cardbacks for us this time - I'll try to image one here so you can see what we're getting this year....

The first 2 battlepacks for the MASS device are showing up at Target. It looks like Target is jacking up the prices on the regular carded 25th Anniversary GI Joes to $8. Weren't they just $5 just 7 months ago. Why are they the same price as Star Wars if they aren't paying a license fee for GI Joe?

Not that it matters, because there are only a few more GI Joes I'd actually buy.

I found the Cobra Commander vs. Tripwire pack today at Target. Looking at Tripwire made me think a bit. I don't think the US Military uses that type of landmine anymore. The mines they use are sort of square and are manually activated rather than activate by stepping on them or by tripwire. And, after hanging out with the EOD guys when I was in Korea, I now know most of those guys are crazy as fuck. I'm debating weather or not I'm going to open the package to read the comic. The other 3 Joes I've bought are still carded.

Target also had Torpedo again. The one in the store had him with the mask on. The one I bought a while back has the mask on the side with the rest of his accessories. Does anyone know if there was a reason for this?

I picked up the first two DVD battlepacks today! Jeeeeeeesus, these things are fucking sweet! Sweet, sweet, SWEET!

You get three to four figures, a piece of the M.A.S.S. device and the Weather DOMINATOR in the 2nd set.

Fucking Radioactive Snake eyes ROCKS and the DVD's are the five-part mini-series! All for $20!

and what do you get in the SW evo packs, 3 figures and the "extra" accessories which would come with the figure anyway if it was on a single card

These are sweet, pick them up!
The Borg wouldn't know fun if they assimilated an Amusement Park.
