I'm almost convinced, EP. I looked at him again today and had a harder time putting him down. They have lots left at TRU, so chances are good that he'll be on my shelf by the end of the week.
What's holding me back is that I only have 1 other Wolvie - and he's in the blue and yellow. I wish the one I had was the brown one, then this one would be a no-brainer.

They are getting better with each try. Not counting the alternate versions and the X-Men Classic line. here's what I think of the Wolvies so far.
Wave 3 Wolverine. 7/10 A little bigger than what you'd expect of the little Canuck, and a little shoddy about the articulation, but if this was the only one we would've gotten I would be happy. I partiucularly like the vicious snarl and steely gaze on his face.
X-Men Box set Wolvie. 6/10 Basically the same body as wave 3, but with a maskless head variation. Since the facial expression on this looks constipated, he loses a point. There was a maskless carded Chase variant with a better head sculpt.
Brown and Tan Wolvie. 8/10 Shrimpier, but in a good way. Better articulation too. Green veins rampant through this wave was a bit of a setback but not very noticable and Brown and Tan Wolvie was my fave costume, so I was happy to see this one.
Weapon X. 3/10. Ugh. Peg warmer. Almost TOO short. Came with an interchangeable head with helmet on or off and lots of cool little tubes to stick in his arms and chest, but I mean, you can't really DO anything with it. He just lays on that stupid fucking table thing. Lame.
X-Men Classic Quitely Logan. 5/10. This was a nice rendition of Morrison and Quitely's Gay Biker Logan from New X-men complete with removable soft goods leather jacket and manly bare chest underneath. But in the end it was just another Wolverine. By this time they were getting annoying.
X-Men Classic Tiger Stripe Wolverine. 3/10 basically the blue and yellow costume but an entirely new sculpt. One that sucked.
Astonishing X-Men Wolvie. 9/10 Awesome Articulation and attention to detail on the costume. Killer likeness. The maskless variation is superb.

Well I just bought unmasked Astonishing Wolvie (a lucky find, he was way up on top of the shelf), and he is by far the best one. The face is awesome.

Wow! A variant in Canada, and not in the US? Tell ya what, JJ. If you can find a frickin' red Iron Fist before I find one, something tells me that you've got an interested party.
I'd prefer to pay to ship it from Canada than to pay a scalper extra just because he got to the store first.
And if you want to build Apocalypse and don't want Iron Fist, keep the part. I'm not going to have any need for it.

Okay, copy that. I've found a few of the variants for this wave twice, but still haven't seen Red Iron Fist yet. I don't want him, and will thus gladly grab him for you.

I'm passing on the other variants, though I apparently got the variant version of "Dumb Wolverine Clone Broad." Already got Wendigo, and I hate Bishop without hair. And yet another Wolvie, especially in the Astonishing costume (with the little fruity ears) don't interest me.
Are you guys getting the WM exclusive wave (Giant Man) in Canada?

No, they're not coming up here. Are they at a special price or something? I saw a picture with them on a WM display somewhere down there with the big price $4.74, which I thought was super low.
I'd be interested in a full set of them I think, the AOA figures aren't my favorite, but I'd like to have a big Giant-Man.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I don't want the AOA figures, I could care less about most of the others, but there are a few I want. . . and I definitely want the Hugh Jass Giant Man.
I've not heard anything about a low price on them, but it has been confirmed that you'll have to buy a full set and at least one variant to build Giant Man. (Supposedly the variants in this wave won't be short-packs.)

Whats the word on a release date? I heard late summer. I heard first week of April. I heard a post Easter reset in the toy dept for the Superman Returns toys and expanded Marvel space.

Not sure. I keep checking WM for a red Iron Fist.
I saw a few pieces of the black Apocalypse variant yesterday. WTF?
First, it looks dumb. Second, I don't recall him being black in any comics. Third, how frigging hard will this make it to build a single, consistent Apocalypse?
There are six figures in this wave: Iron Fist, Bishop, Sasquatch, X-23, Maestro, and Wolverine. There are listed variants for Wolvie, Fist (AKA evil Danny plant clone thingy guy), and Bishop, and unlisted variants for X-23 and Sasquatch (AKA Wendigo). Add to the confusion the fact that ToyBiz fucked up and Maestro doesn't come with the arm cable for Apocalypse.
Let's say you're incredibly lucky, and find all the variants, and each version of the figure you get includes a different color piece of Apocalypse.
So you build your blue Apocalypse with the standard figures, and start the black one with the variants. You'll need to buy an extra Maestro to almost finish him, and then, since you only have two Sasquatches and therefore only two arm cables, call up ToyBiz for the replacement, and hope they'll send two.
What a mess. I'm glad I'm not a completist.

I picked up the new Hobgoblin from the Spidey Classics line. Nice. And I caved and got Spider-Hulk too. Which is actually Bruce Cambell in a Spider-Hulk costume. Did you SEE his chin? Good lord. I skipped the Hydro-man however because I dub him to be the assiest Marvel figure ever. Even assier than 1st Appearance Thing. Assier than Tiger Strike Wolverine. Assier than Weapon X. It's just ass.

I haven't even seen pics yet - but I'm going to look. The first Hobgoblin figure is one of the best action figures ever in my opinion.

This Hobgoblin is more "Hobgoblin 1" from the 80s. Nice figure. Hydro Man does suck balls. I can verify that.
